Caring For Your Candles
All natural soy-based candles can be a bit more finicky than their petroleum-based counterparts, but with a bit of attention and care, they offer a longer, cleaner burn. Here are some tips to make the most out of your Woodland Alchemy candle:
- Burn the candle end-to-end (allowing the hot wax to pool all the way to the edge of the glass before blowing it out). This is especially important with the first burn.
- Be sure that the candle wick is trimmed to 1/4" prior to each burn.
- Of course, never leave a lit candle unattended and please keep away from children and pets.
CARING FOR YOUR soaking SALTS
Our soaking salts are hand-crafted in small batches from all natural materials, some of which are foraged and harvested on our family's small plot of land in the pacific northwest. They contain no fragrance oils or preservatives. Because of this, we recommend that you use your bath salts within six weeks of receiving them.
Please keep the lid screwed on tightly, particularly if the salts are kept in a humid environment (such as a bathroom).
It is normal for the forest bath salts to turn from green to brown over time as the Douglas Fir needles age. This will not impact the quality of your soak. (If you'd like to preserve the green color of your Forest Bath, please store your jar in the freezer between soaks!)
